You can use a Co2 laser to mark glass this works by the laser lightly fracturing the surface of the glass. You can apply washing liquid over the glass before marking to help prevent chipping and to give a smoother finish.

2 Home safe and sound. Im parked up in the couch and Panko has been keeping me company nearby. The surgery went a bit longer than they anticipated as they had trouble getting my gallbladder out. I had just one stone at around 2cm blocking the bile duct. I think they said it was around 2-2.5 hour long surgery.
Puked first thing when I woke up so they gave me some meds for nausea and pain. Eventually got moved to the recovery wing. BP was low most of the time I was there though I did throw up a second time so possibly low on liquids.
The incision spots are tender but overall feeling pretty decent. The only thing that really hurts is the sharp pain in the shoulders from the gas they used. Ive been heat packing my shoulders and making sure to walk around to help dissipate the gas. Off work for two weeks and no heavy lifting for 4-6 weeks.
