This is the face of someone who needs to learn the important adage "don't start none, won't be none!"

Today she went into the back yard and found a juvenile magpie. I don't know if it was already dead when she found it (hopefully), but there are now two older magpies who have lived in our backyard for at least the 18 months we've been here, who think she's responsible.

I picked up the body and buried it, have put flowers on the site, and I left a bowl of dried mealworms out under the tree to hopefully settle the score somewhat.

It was actually really sad.. they were obviously grievi and sitting in the tree watching the body and cawing.

I know she's just a dog being a dog, and she's actually not aggressive at all but sometimes the dog instincts are loud.

I don't know how tomorrow is going to go. Magpies have long memories.
