Traveling with our dog, a collie who can be Very Concerned at unusual things. Sleeping in the same room with him for the first time.
Was having a vivid, complex dream and it got to the point where someone was demonstrating a multiple hurdy gurdy in lawnmower for: you push it and the rear wheel motion drives multiple wheels. The fellow was pointing out various wheels and belts and humming pitches produced.
Then I woke up with my Very Concerned Dog nuzzling my face. I must have been vocalizing in my sleep.
Damn, Dog, I was having a good time watching the hurdy gurdy! But on the plus side, I remember this dream.

A fragile peace
His favorite toys are his balls because he can chase them around inside or out and he bats them around like a soccer ball with his nose.
He gets really worked up and wants me to try and take them. It's funny because if I stop and pretend not to care he'll sneak up behind me and push a ball into my hand.
The growling scares some people that don't know him. I've learned to read and understand him, but us playing scares visitors sometimes,
This dog is massive. He's at least as tall as I am (5ཇ) when he stands up good and straight on his hind legs, so taking a toy from me when I'm sitting down is just no big deal. We had been playing for a while and I sat down, but he wasn't done so he came over and booped me with his rope.

The vacuum "really" stresses Lurch out, so I'm trying to desensitize him to it. I think the biggest thing that bugs him about it honestly is wheels. If I walk on a treadmill he gets tore all to pieces like I'm breaking reality or something. Same thing with the lawn mower, and that one worries me because I'm afraid he's gonna stick his nose into the muffler, a pulley or blade one day. So we start with the vacuum cleaner.
Another good day.... Another *very* excited old gall, bouncing towards the water side.
