I picked up a new (old) hobby over the break, gouache , AKA opaque . Ive had a set of gouache paints that I havent touched for 15 years (except the white) because I never quite figured out how to use them. I finally pulled them back out to see what would happen. Six paintings later, and I painted this portrait of my Kepler from a photo. So now Im definitely a pet portrait painter, at least for a little while.
